SAAZ has named Dr. Barry N. Behnken as its new Product Venture Lead. In this role, Barry will focus on bridging SAAZ’s research and development work with market execution, driving commercialization strategy for the company’s R&D products.
Barry brings over two decades of leadership experience across the defense, aerospace, and deep-tech sectors. He previously served as Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Engineering at AEye, Inc., Executive Vice President of Engineering at Infleqtion, and Director at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). He has also served as a DARPA Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
Barry is an alumnus of the United States Air Force Academy. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics (Optics) from the Naval Postgraduate School and an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
